Why these tools
Each tool takes one feature of the QuranWay app and makes it usable right away, with no account and nothing to install. The calculations that depend on you (prayer times, qibla, date conversion) run in your browser, with the same formulas as the app.
Where the calculations come from
- Prayer times: an astronomical calculation based on your location and a recognized method (Fajr and Isha angles), just like prayer apps.
- Qibla: the direction of the shortest path across the globe (a great circle) to the Kaaba.
- Hijri dates: the Umm al-Qura calendar, the one the app uses. Moon sighting can shift a date by one day depending on your country.
